supplementary Notice to Policyholders of Markham General Insurance Company in Liquidation
The Board of Directors of Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation
Corporation has decided to respond to claims of policyholders for refunds
of premium where a refund was not issued by or on behalf of Markham General
or where a refund was issued prior to July 24,2002 but on which payment
was stopped.The Liquidator appointed by the court is currently compiling
a list of outstanding claimants and when the claims have been validated,
a cheque will be issued for 70% of the unearned premium,subject to a maximum
payment of $700.00 These payments will be processed as quickly as possible.
